My OLASTEO Moment

One #OLASTEOMoment I remember well was during our 2019 National Excursion to Washington D.C. While touring Georgetown University,  I put myself in the shoes of our OLASTEO scholars. I thought, “Maybe this was someone’s first time traveling outside of Watts, sitting on an airplane, or even  touching foot on a college campus.”

I could then see it in several of our scholars' eyes when light bulbs began to go off. They were thinking to themselves - "I can go to college. I can go to Georgetown. I really can!”
